      Setting Up a BallotReady Landing Page

      You may put your widget on a web page generated by BallotReady instead of embedding it on your own website.

      A BallotReady landing page includes the widget that allows voters to enter your organization’s Civic Center. Here’s an example landing page for your reference.

      Setting up your landing page


      To get started, complete the landing configuration form. You may include the following information (all fields optional except for your custom URL):

      • Primary brand color in HEX format (#000000)
      • The logo you'd like to use in PNG or JPG format
      • Which widget fields you'd like to include, either as optional or required fields
        • This could include first name, last name, email, phone number, and the opt-in checkbox
      • The custom text for your URL [yourcustomtexthere.civicengine.com]
      • Which UTM codes you'd like to embed in your widget to track the traffic that comes from your landing page
        • You can set values for the following UTM codes: campaign, source, content, term, and/or medium
        • If you're an affiliate organization, we recommend coordinating with your parent organization to see if they're standardizing these fields
      • What text will appear in the browser tab title
      • Any custom text you'd like to include on your landing page including:
        • The main heading
        • Text that goes before the widget
        • Text that goes after the widget
        • Disclaimer text
        • Text for the footer
        • Note: this text can include links and basic formatting by using Markdown – see instructions below.

      Once your landing page has been completed, please give us 2-4 business days to generate your site.

      Formatting headers, links, and bold text

      You can use Markdown to add headers, links, and bold text to the paragraphs that appear before and after the widget. Use the following syntax:

      Headers

      ### Our BallotReady Civic Center

      Putting three hashes in front of text creates a bold header. After the header, be sure to put the following text on a new line.

      Links

      [BallotReady](https://www.ballotready.org)

      Text generated: BallotReady

      This will create a link on the text “BallotReady” that links to the URL https://www.ballotready.org.

      Bold

      **This is bold text.** This is not bold text.

      Text generated: This is bold text. This is not bold text.

      Bold text can be indicated by placing text between a set of two asterisks (**).
