How to create new affiliates and add users to that affiliate in the new endorsements tool
NOTE: Sometimes an affiliate already exists in the BallotReady system, and you’ll receive an error message that says Could not create organization Example Affiliate 1: Name has already been taken. If this happens, reach out to your CS lead for help adding that affiliate to your profile.1. Log into manage.civicengine.com.
2. Select Affiliates from the left hand sidebar.
3. On the affiliates page, select Create Affiliates
4. On the next page you can name the affiliate and invite users who will be able to add endorsements for that affiliate. You can invite multiple users to the same affiliate by separating their emails with a comma. Note: The affiliate will be able to change their Affiliate name after they accept the invitation.
5. Once created, you’ll receive the below success message with the name of the affiliate and the emails you’ve added. You can then either select to See all affiliates or Create more affiliates.
6. The affiliate will receive an email that looks like the below screenshot (how this looks will vary based upon their email server). But it will provide instructions for them to set up an account.
7. They can then set up a password and begin adding endorsements on behalf of their affiliate.7. Back on your Affiliates page, you’ll be able to see all of the affiliates associated with your account. You can select to View Endorsements to see the list of endorsements associated with that particular affiliate. Or you can select View Details to see the Users Associated with that affiliate or to invite new users.
8. View Details will take you to a page that looks like the following screenshot. On this page, you can see that 1 user (eliruffer@ballotready.org) has been Invited. Once they set up their account, that box will switch to active. From here, you can Delete Affiliate, Add Users, or View Endorsements:
