The BallotReady Pledge Engine allows users to pledge to vote.
Why pledge to vote? When a person pledges to vote they are more likely to follow through come election day. The default text is displayed in the below screenshot:
The introduction text (“I, _______ enthusiastically pledge to vote…”) is customizable and can be up to 180 characters or approximately 30 words.
Pledge reasons are also customizable. Short sentences (4-5 words or roughly 30 characters) are optimal for the pledge reasons. This ensures that the user experience is clear and consistent no matter what device is being used.
