User Data Overview

    Overview

Alongside your Civic Center that helps voters in various aspects of their voting experience, BallotReady can provide you with aggregate and individual user data about the voters who visit your site to help you understand and quantify your impact.

    Aggregate Data

For your Civic Center, we have a Usage Data Dashboard with aggregated user data, including controls for time frame and location.

The User Data Dashboard counts every user who enters their address in your Civic Center Widget and clicks “Get Started”.

You can read more about interpreting your Usage Data Dashboard here. You can access your User Data Dashboard by logging into CivicEngine Manage and navigating to the Usage Dashboard tab.

    Individual User Data

BallotReady also provides user data at an individual level. This clickstream data is available in three formats:

    1. Basic user data: This only includes information collected in the widget, the point at which users enter the Civic Center. See the Basic User Data support article for more information.

    2. Flattened clickstream user data: Standard, Premium, and Enterprise customers may receive information on all actions taken within the Civic Center in CSV format. This can be shared in a daily export sent to a Google Drive folder or an Amazon s3 bucket. For more information, visit our Flattened Clickstream User Data Dictionary support article.

    3. JSON clickstream user data: Premium and Enterprise customers may receive a more detailed version of clickstream user data in JSON format, delivered instantaneously to an Amazon s3 bucket. See the JSON Clickstream User Data Dictionary for help in interpreting your user data.
